Science and Performing Arts Building adopts best practice environmental initiatives

Working in partnership with Construction Control, Benmax recently completed work on the new Science and Performing Arts Building at Marist College Canberra.

Located in Pearce, the College is an independent primary and secondary school and the new construction provides a home for the school’s high achieving Science and Performing Arts Departments.

The three-storey facility includes nine state of the art science laboratories; new teaching spaces for Health and Physical Education (HAPE); new changerooms; and a suite of new performing arts classrooms, performance spaces, tuition rooms and practice areas. It incorporates best practice environmental initiatives including roof-top solar and full electrification of the building’s mechanical HVAC system.

Formally opened in February 2024, the building has officially been named ‘Veritas’ aligning with the school’s identity and values.
