Delivered under a design and construct contract with AW Edwards Pty Ltd, the $77 million project demonstrates the capacity of the Benmax team to design, supply, install and commission works in complex health buildings.
Initially opened as a 118-bed facility, the seven storey hospital has been designed to further expand capacity up to 182-beds in years to come as the local population grows.
Working alongside long-term partner Construction Control, Benmax successfully delivered the mechanical services fit-out for this impressive commercial building located at Brindabella Business Park, Canberra.
At 35,000 m2, it is twice the size of any other office building located within the precinct, and its environmentally advanced design supports a 5 Star Green Star rating and 5.5 Star NABERS base building energy rating.
Awarded the mechanical services contract for the project by Construction Control, Benmax completed work on the new Canberra Grammar School (CGS) Music Centre and Auditorium located at their Red Hill Campus in Canberra, ACT.
The new 3,100 sqm five storey building includes innovative and unique mechanical services design features including subterranean design, geothermal technology, acoustic considerations and the large-scale use of modular construction.
