Located within Canberra’s impressive parliamentary precinct, Benmax was awarded the HVAC mechanical services contract for the $90 million landmark building at 1 Canberra Avenue, Forrest, by Willemsen Group.

The A-grade commercial development holds a 5 Star NABERS rating and offers 24,200 sqm of office accommodation over five levels and two independently serviced building wings. The heart of the building is a 1,000 sqm, five-storey central atrium that provides access across the building and between floors via aerial bridges and helical staircase.

Features of the building include panoramic full height triple silver coated double glazed façade, 200 kW solar array, and three basement levels providing 495 car spaces, loading dock access, amenities, and 700 sqm of enclosed storage. Mechanical services include a roof top central plant, the use of low temp VAV system and passive chilled beams throughout the building.
