In this position, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Supervise HVAC site teams on projects of all sizes.
  • Promote and model Benmax values and behaviours.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards including Benmax WHSEQ systems.
  • Communicate effectively with site personnel, site manager, project manager and client to ensure job schedules are met and projects run smoothly.
  • Plan work schedules effectively and manage labour costs against budgets.
  • Set KPI’s for broader team members and monitor progression.
  • Improve site efficiency and effectiveness by seeking to continually improve HVAC systems and processes.
  • Ensure a safe work environment, including using and maintaining equipment correctly.

In this position, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Undertake engineering calculations, produce concept layouts and size plant for the project in accordance with Australian Standards and Benmax design philosophies.
  • Maintain and share knowledge of changes to code requirements and ensure these are incorporated into designs.

  • Be proactive in the tasks assigned, seek resolutions to problems, ask questions to confirm scope and timeframes and where necessary seek clarification before acting.
  • Communicate deviations in agreed timeframes to the project manager well ahead of their due date.
  • Seek out review of work before proceeding to construction status in accordance with Benmax QA processes.

To be successful in the position, you will need to have the following:

  • Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) or Diploma of Engineering (Technical/Mechanical) (essential).
