Working in partnership with Construction Control and Amalgamated Property Group, Benmax will deliver the mechanical services for stage one works at their latest commercial office development located in the iconic Civic Quarter Precinct.
Situated on the corner of Northbourne Avenue and Cooyong Street in Canberra’s CBD, CQ2 (Civic Quarter Tower 2) is a 12 storey, A grade commercial office building offering 35,000 m2 in nett lettable space. It will encompass state of the art technology and will strive to achieve the highest in environmental credentials. Built around a central atrium and incorporating open architecture design principles, its sustainability features include rooftop solar panels, water retention systems and high efficiency fixtures.
Benmax has commenced the delivery of mechanical services for stage one works, the base building, with our site team expected to commence in early 2021. The building is scheduled for completion in mid-2022 with the Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment already securing a long-term tenancy for the building. Ground floor retail and café facilities are expected to be occupied on completion.
