Project Details
Located in the heart of the Canberra CBD, the Canberra Centre shopping mall recently expanded its sizeable centre with the redevelopment of the Monaro Mall. Opened in 1963, Monaro Mall has a rich history and the redevelopment aimed to restore many of the original features of the site while bringing modern architecture and retail opportunities to Canberra.
Having completed numerous projects at the Canberra Centre site, Benmax was awarded the mechanical services contract for the project including refurbishment of the ground floor and development of the expanded first floor successfully completing the project in late 2017. The site now offers an expansive beauty and wellness precinct, along with a dedicated lifestyle and homewares quarter.
Benmax has remained on site following the opening of the new Monaro Mall undertaking numerous fit outs for stores opening in the precinct and for those relocating from elsewhere in the centre including David Jones, Husk, Le Creuset, Robinson Books, The Pen Boutique and Gewurzhaus.
