We are excited to share that the University of Newcastle Q Building has been named as a finalist in the Excellence in Sustainability category at the 2022 AIRAH Awards. The annual awards recognise excellence and achievement in Australia’s HVAC&R building services industry and we are delighted our work on the project has been acknowledged.
Located at the University of Newcastle’s new city campus, the Q Building incorporates innovative design and sustainability measures to minimise its environmental impact, an exposed building services aesthetic, and highly efficient operating standards and is the first in regional NSW to achieve the GBCA’s 6-star Green Star Design and As Built rating.
This is a fantastic achievement and reflects the collaborative effort of the entire project team to successfully deliver this milestone project. Thank you to our project partners and the University of Newcastle, Hansen Yuncken and EJE Architecture for supporting our award nomination.
