Ten team members recognised for their outstanding contributions

The echoes of applause still resonate after the recent Benmax Annual Awards, when we gathered on Friday 15 December 2023 to shine a well-deserved spotlight on the remarkable efforts within our team.

Established in 2019, the awards process was proposed by our team, as they wanted a formal way to recognise their workmates. It has now become a unique recognition program where our team nominates and votes for their standout colleagues, making it a genuine peer-driven celebration.

In addition to recognising our current team, we pay homage to our roots. The major awards are named after our three founding partners, honouring their legacy and ensuring that their spirit remains an integral part of the Benmax Annual Awards, and our wider business.

We remain a family-focused business, with a number of the team family members of our founding partners including Scott Polsen, Andy Kolber and Sean Cosgrove.

Now with 135 team members across numerous sites in Australia, the awards serve as a powerful demonstration of the high regard our team hold for each other, showcasing the excellence that is woven into the fabric of our organisation. It’s a celebration of not just employees but a community of individuals whose collective achievements speak volumes about the quality and commitment that set Benmax apart.

A refreshed approach for 2023

To keep things relevant to our grassroots, a group of staff representatives actively shaped the award categories and criteria when it was established. This year, a new group of employees modified a few things to make sure the categories continue to align with what our team values most.

Nominations for these awards are based on the past 12 months, reflecting the ongoing commitment and achievements of our team members. It’s a moment to appreciate the progress we’ve made together, the challenges we’ve faced, and the milestones we’ve reached.

This year, the team wanted to introduce the Robert Brozic Award, a nod to someone who has played a crucial role in driving the development of our Canberra service and maintenance business, BEMS, for over 20 years. It’s a way of acknowledging long-standing dedication and expertise within our ranks.

The below recognitions are a true testament to our team living by our values of integrity, quality, innovation and community.
