Benmax ACT has been appointed by construction and project management experts Construction Control to deliver the HVAC mechanical services for London Central, Capital Property Group’s (CPG) $500 million major development located on the iconic inner-city corner of Northbourne Avenue and London Circuit in Canberra’s CBD.

The precinct will offer 60,000 sqm of commercial office space across three 12-storey buildings surrounding a new urban park. Integrated dining and retail spaces, 582 car parks and direct access to public transport will complement the development.

Designed to meet contemporary sustainability standards, the development aims to deliver a high-performance workplace with a lower environmental impact. It will be all-electric, designed for carbon-neutral operation, and feature rooftop solar, targeting a 5.5-star NABERS Energy rating. Construction is underway, with completion expected in early 2030.

Demonstrating the importance of the development, CPG announced in March 2026 that is has secured the Commonwealth Department of Employment and Workplace Relations (DEWR) and the Department of Education to an impressive 46,500 sqm lease (including a 15-year lease for DEWR).
