We are seeking a proactive Supply Chain Coordinator to support the efficient operation of our fabrication division and ensure continuity across our supply chain at our warehouse based in Hume, ACT.
About the role:
Reporting to the Head of Manufacturing, the Supply Chain Coordinator plays a key role in coordinating procurement activities, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring the timely ordering, tracking, and delivery of materials and equipment. This position is critical to maintaining operational efficiency and supporting production requirements.
You can expect to:
- Source, order, and manage procurement of materials, components and equipment
- Liaise with suppliers regarding pricing, availability, lead times, and specifications
- Raise and manage purchase orders in line with approved processes
- Track orders and follow up to ensure on‑time delivery
- Coordinate and schedule deliveries to meet operational needs
- Monitor backorders, lead times, and delivery changes
- Escalate supply issues, delays, or risks in a timely and professional manner
- Ensure goods received align with purchase orders and specifications
- Maintain accurate procurement and supply chain records using Microsoft programs
- Prepare purchasing, order, and supplier performance reports as required
- Support supplier negotiations to achieve best‑value outcomes

Essential:
- Previous experience purchasing materials and equipment
- Experience supporting larger‑scale or complex procurement activities
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic accounting or project software
- High attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
- Permanent working rights in Australia
Desirable:
- Previous experience in manufacturing, logistics or operational environments
- Tertiary qualification in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Procurement or a related discipline
- White Card, Silica Awareness and Asbestos Awareness
