Project Details
Benmax has an established relationship with The Arts Centre of Christchurch having completed numerous projects across the historic site. Following damage sustained from the 2011 earthquakes, the Centre is currently undertaking a seven-year $290 million project to restore and strengthen the collection of buildings, adding modern amenities without compromising their heritage values.
Awarded the contract for the installation of new mechanical services systems to the award winning Great Hall (C Block), the project included the replacement of air handling units, fan coil units, ventilation systems, associated ductwork and electrical systems, along with the installation of underfloor heating, a new radiant heating system and automated controls system. The knowledge and experience of the Benmax team was crucial in successfully completing the project within the complex constraints of working within the heritage building.
