Project Details
Benmax delivered the mechanical services for the new $11 million Canberra College of Performing Arts Centre located in Phillip, ACT. The 2,050 m2 purpose built venue provides a professional performing arts centre and teaching facility shared by students at Canberra College and the wider community.
Comprising of a 175 seat theatre, large double height drama studio, dance studio, and music studio with sound isolated practice rooms, the building meets the client’s specific requirements for a project that was economical to build, operate and maintain.
Designed with capacity to be modified and/or expanded in the future as the school grows, or needs change, it accommodates the complex security, acoustic and operational requirements of both the private college and public components.
