Project Details
Located in the heart of the nation’s capital, the Australian War Memorial houses a priceless collection of relics, personal and public records, art, and media, which tells the story of the nation’s experience in world wars, regional conflicts and international peacekeeping. Visited by tens of thousands of people each year the precinct requires the highest standards in mechanical services to maintain the quality of artefacts and exhibitions displayed at the site.
Benmax was awarded the mechanical services contract for the construction of the new east building created to house the AWMs expanding national collection. The maintenance of air quality, temperature and humidity in the new construction were critical to ensure preservation of the items displayed and stored within the building. Benmax successfully completed the project in 2005.
