Benmax to deliver mechanical services for temporary ED at The Canberra Hospital

We have always said we love a good challenge, so we are looking forward to working with long time partner Manteena to deliver the mechanical services for the temporary Emergency Department being constructed adjacent to The Canberra Hospital in Garran. The facility will support the ACT Government in their response to the COVID-19 pandemic situation.

Building a temporary Emergency Department in just a matter of weeks will be a challenge, however Benmax is accustomed to working under tight project time frames and the team is already hard at work prefabricating materials for the job. Building much of the equipment off site in our workshop (as we have done many times before) while the ED facility is being constructed will allow for a shorter installation time when we can access the site, ensure the quality of our work remains high, and will improve safety as the project team works to meet the tight delivery time frame.

We are proud to be working on this important community project and look forward to working with project partners to deliver the best facility possible.

Benmax achieve practical completion on Deep Space Antenna project

Congratulations to our team at the Canberra Deep Space Communication Complex for completing work on our latest project at the site, a cooling water upgrade on Deep Space Station Antenna 43. The works will accommodate a new larger transmitter and cool the quantities of oil that are required to rotate and elevate the dish during operation.
