Construction of the new Calvary Bruce Private Hopsital project has commenced. Scheduled for completion in July 2017, the seven storey building will initially open as a 94-bed facility with surgical and medical beds, dedicated post-natal beds and a CCU/High Dependency Unit. The hospital has been designed with the capacity to further expand to a 156 beds facility in years to come, in line with the population growth.
A pedestrian bridge will be constructed linking the new private hospital to the existing Calvary Public Hospital and Emergency Department enabling Calvary to continue to share specialist equipment and services between hospitals.
The construction of the new $62 million state-of-the-art Calvary Bruce Private hospital will also incorporate a range of environmental sustainability initiatives using best practice approaches to minimise energy consumption and manage waste.
