Clinical services building taking shape18 05 18
It is all systems go at the University of Otago with the Benmax team working on the install of mechanical services for the redevelopment of the university's Faculty of Dentistry. The NZ$130 million project is the largest capital redevelopment the university has ever undertaken and will see the Benmax team on site until late 2018.
The project includes a new 8,000 sqm clinical services building that will connect to the rear of the existing 10,000 sqm Walsh Building, ensuring a tasteful, modern, and energy efficient facility reflecting the already world-class campus setting.
The new building will house clinical services featuring an innovative surgery design for general practice dentistry, together with a variety of specialist dental clinics in addition to flexible learning spaces, dentistry-specific teaching laboratories, academic accommodation and a new home for the Sir John Walsh Research Institute.
