Benmax has now completed work on the new Calvary Bruce Private Hospital project. Awarded the mechanical services contract for the building by AW Edwards Pty Ltd, the $62 million project further demonstrates our capacity for the design, supply, install and commissioning of work for complex health buildings.

The new seven storey building will initially open as a 94-bed facility but has been designed with the capacity to further expand to a 156-bed facility in years to come, in line with population growth. It will feature state-of-the-art operating theatres (six full and one minor), CCU/HDU facilities, patient wards and recovery areas, clean sterilisation department, rooftop plantroom as well as a dedicated operating theatre plantroom within the building. The facility incorporates a range of environmental sustainability initiatives using best practice approaches to minimise energy consumption and manage waste.

A pedestrian bridge will link the new private hospital to the existing Calvary Public Hospital to support the sharing of specialist equipment and services between the hospitals. The facility is due to open in the coming months.
