BEMS has been awarded a two-year contract extension for the service and maintenance of a number of Canberra's most iconic buildings. The National Capital Authority, responisble for managing the buildings, has recognised the skills and experience that BEMS brings to the project extending the initial three-year partnership. The team will continue to carry out programmed and preventative maintenance on a wide variety of equipment across a number of sites including the National Carillon, National Capital Exhibition, Commonwealth Place, Stage 88 and Capital Circle Tunnel.

As part of the contract, BEMS is also involved with capital works and refurbishment programs. The team recently completed an upgrade to the ventilation system for the Captain Cook Memorial Jet pumps and tunnel. Did you know that the main jet exit velocity is 260km/h, reaches 147 metres and at any one time there is 6 tonnes of water in the air?
